COLDWELL BANKER BAIN EXPANDS MOBILE PRESENCE
Mobile Real Estate Site Now Optimized for Windows Mobile
BELLEVUE, Wash. (December 29, 2011) - Coldwell Banker Bain (CB Bain), a leading provider of real estate brokerage services in Western Washington, has further expanded its reach to mobile consumers by optimizing its mobile website for the Windows Mobile platform. Now Windows Mobile users join iPhone and Android users in being able to use m.CBBain.com to search MLS-listed properties directly from their smartphones. They can also use the site to find information about upcoming open houses and recent sold properties.
The mobile CBBain.com has the features of real estate search apps but without requiring users to download updates and at the same time providing instant access to live MLS data. When a user engages his or her location services, the site will pull up nearby homes for sale – as well as open houses and sold properties – directly onto the smartphone’s map. By tapping on a property thumbnail, the user will see key details about the home, up to 15 photos, and in some cases a property video.
“Recognizing the exponential growth of mobile in real estate search, we developed our mobile site to provide the best possible experience for buyers and sellers,” said Suzanne Mueller, vice president of marketing for CB Bain. “In reviewing other mobile real estate products we saw that the market lacked a truly personalized mobile real estate experience,” Mueller continued, “so our mobile site was built to give users their own unique experience.” She pointed out that mobile users of CBBain.com can access their previously viewed homes, save their favorite properties, and connect with a broker – whether by text message, email or a call – directly from the property screen of a home that interests them. Mueller identified another unique feature of m.CBBain.com: if consumers prefer to communicate with real estate brokers via social media they can do so on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
CB Bain is the first real estate brokerage in the country to offer its brokers their own mobile websites. A personal mobile website is created when the broker adds his or her name immediately in front of CBBain.com. This engages a feature that positions their photo and contact information throughout the site, making them instantly available to consumers. A broker can further personalize his or her mobile website by adding a bio, customer reviews, and links to social media profiles.
“Our goal in developing the personal mobile websites,” said Coldwell Banker Bain president Mike Grady, “was to give Western Washington real estate consumers an engaging search experience while showcasing our brokers. By sharing and marketing their personal mobile websites – whether to buyers or to sellers – our brokers will be able to offer their clients advanced technology while enhancing their own brands in the process. We see this as an exceptional win-win,” Grady said, “both for consumers and for our brokers.”
