Getting A Home Inspection
Twttter
Before you buy a home, whether it’s a studio condo or a waterfront estate, I'll advise you to obtain a home inspection. These days most home purchases are contingent upon a home inspection. I'll help coordinate the inspection of any home on which you have an accepted offer, and will always make sure it's performed by a licensed professional. I'm committed to being present during the home inspection and welcome your participation as well.

As a buyer, you want the assurance that the home you’re interested in doesn't have any structural or weather-related issues beyond everyday wear and tear. In pursuit of this the Home Inspector should:
  • Search for any structural, mechanical and/or other flaws in the property
  • Inspect all heating, air conditioning, electrical wiring, plumbing and other systems in the home
  • Examine the exterior of the house, including the roof, foundation, chimney, etc.
  • Look at the attic and the home’s interior for proper venting, insulation, electrical outlets, etc.
  • Test all appliances and plumbing fixtures to verify they are all in working condition
  • Inspect all bathrooms for moisture and/or if it has affected the areas around the tub, shower or sink
  • Check for insects, termites and other pests

If you accept the findings from the home inspection, we can begin the closing process. If the home inspection uncovers problems, I'll advise you about different outcomes and help coordinate any solutions.
